Presentations from The HRA Members' Meeting, hosted by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland on March 20-21, 2013, have now been posted on the Member Meetings & News page. A link to the recording of the lecture by Dr. Leroy Hood as part of the HRA-sponsored New Frontiers in Science Distinguished Lectureship Program at FDA has also been posted on the same page. NOTE: It is not too early to mark your calendars for the fall, 2013 Members' Meeting, which will be held September 19-20, 2013, in Philadelphia. The fall meeting will be co-hosted by the Pew Charitable Trusts and the AACR Foundation for the Prevention and Cure of Cancer.
HRA receives recognition for public access efforts: HRA is pleased to be recognized as a SPARC Innovator by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition. Please check out the information on this honor at the top of the Public Access page under the Resources tab.

Organizations participating in the Health Research Alliance represent a variety of types of nongovernmental funders of health research, including voluntary health agencies, private foundations, and operating foundations. All of these organizations share a common interest in speeding the translation of biomedical science discoveries into applications that improve health, and in identifying and adopting best practices in funding health research.
