HRA’s Open Science Task Force

Task Force Description:
The goal of the Open Science Task Force is to produce resources for HRA member organizations to:  1) inform their decision making processes in the implementation of open science policies, 2) facilitate implementation of open science policies and 3) influence the advancement of open science.

Topics of Interest:

  • Data sharing platforms  (creation of policies, etc, to move this into practice)
  • Preprint servers  (conveying their importance to the our researchers, learning more about how best to use preprints and to encourage their use)
  • Webinar on how to use the Open Science Framework
  • Open access toolkit to implement open access policies for publications

HRA’s Public Access Initiative

Please note that in order to participate in HRA’s Public Access Initiative, member organizations must submit a completed public access participation form which can be found here.

In 2012, HRA announced a Public Access Initiative to facilitate member organizations’ adoption of public access policies. Participation in this initiative is not required, but is open to all HRA member organizations that meet the participation criteria. The first signup period was in the fall of 2012 for organizations that have already adopted a public access policy or that anticipated doing so before 12/31/2012.

Resources available to member organizations and that members can make available to awardees are listed below and are also available on the public access page under the “Resources” tab on the Public pages of the HRA website:
