- Preprint Article: Insights from a survey of mentorship experiences by graduate and postdoctoral researchers
On behalf of the Research Workforce and Early Career Community, we invite you to a special 90 minute discussion about mentorship on November 14th at 2-3:30PM eastern. Sarvenaz Sarabipour, PhD from the University of Connecticut and Natalie Niemi, PhD from Washington University at St. Louis will present data from their survey of early career researchers which identifies the met and unmet needs of early career researchers in mentorship. Those data have been used to develop programmatic guidelines, which will be discussed by Constanza Miranda, PhD, the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Mentoring at Johns Hopkins. We hope this presentation leads to further conversations about the important qualities in mentorship, what a mentorship experience means for both the mentor and mentee, and how to create the best mentorship experience possible.
