Request for Applications: SU2C Lung Cancer Early Detection Challenge Grants

The Stand Up to Cancer^® (SU2C) Lung Cancer Early Detection Challenge is interested in evaluating different platforms for liquid biopsies for the early detection of lung cancer prior to treatment in smokers, in order to improve patient outcomes.

The resulting platform from this two-step program will result in detection of early-stage lung cancers before treatment with drastic improvement in the existing standard and compliance.

Round 1 grants will range from $150-$200K and are intended to support a 12–18-month grant period. The Application deadline is Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Request for Applications: SU2C – CRUK Prevention, Early Stage Detection, and Interception of Recurrence Challenge

The Stand Up to Cancer® (SU2C)-Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Prevention, Early Stage Detection, and Interception of Recurrence Challenge endeavors to support transatlantic research collaborations between the United States and the United Kingdom, which will generate and evaluate new approaches to prevent and intercept cancer recurrence.

Research should be translationally focused, at the pre-clinical stage or later, have a clear path to evaluation of an interception/preventive intervention, and a patient-centric approach, with the ultimate aim to develop new and impactful clinical interventions.

Teams may apply for total support up to $1,000,000 to$4,000,000 over a 1–4-year term. The Letter of Intent (LOI) deadline is Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
