Organization Overview

BrightFocus Foundation ( is a nonprofit organization that seeks to save mind and sight, by funding innovative research worldwide on Alzheimer’s disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. Since inception, the organization has awarded more than 1,000 research grants for a total of $140 million, including more than $35 million in the last five years alone.  BrightFocus also promotes better health through education, providing the public with information about these diseases, including risk factors, detection, current treatments, and coping strategies.
