The Robertson Foundation is a private foundation established in 1996 by Tiger Management founder Julian H. Robertson, Jr., his wife Josie, and their family. The Foundation seeks to make investments for the benefit of humanity, with a focus on three core areas: medical research, education, and the environment. Since its founding, the Foundation has disbursed over $1.5B in support of its mission.

Through its medical research grantmaking, the Robertson Foundation seeks to accelerate biomedical innovation and breakthroughs by providing long-term, risk-tolerant support to underfunded research areas. The Foundation partners with exceptional institutions to advance basic research and translational research (i.e., conversion of basic research findings into therapeutics); to date, its giving has focused on the cancer, stem cells, and neuroscience. Its giving also seeks to develop leadership in the field—namely, through investigator award programs run by trusted institutions.
