Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Working Group call [July 9, 2020]
Dear colleagues,
In recognizing the clear interest of HRA members on effective Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) work within their mission, we are excited to share about the launch of a new working group that we have agreed to co-chair. Our thanks to Annette and Maryrose for creating a home in the HRA website for the group, including a resources page. We intend to move forward with two parallel efforts below, see the details for ways to engage:
- The first will be a selection of webinars that provide exposure to and discussions about programs in place at HRA member organizations already hard at work in this space. This is intended to be the learning environment where we can individually and collectively begin or build upon our existing DEI work. During this call, we will discuss examples of organizational goals and strategies around DEI and levers funders can impact. The final agenda will be shared later.
- In the second, we are inviting you to join the working group as the ‘sleeves up’ team who will be exploring how HRA and our member organizations can establish the strategy to move forward with improving upon existing efforts in DEI. Please email Annette if you are interested in joining this working group .We will work with the group to identify the specific tasks to pursue.
