HRA Open is a web-based service sponsored by the Health Research Alliance (HRA) that not only promotes open access, but also enables your awardees to link your support to their research outputs.

HRA’s collaboration with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) enables awardees to deposit peer-reviewed publications into PubMed Central (PMC) using the NIH manuscript submission system.  It goes one step further by providing an additional space to upload and share other materials related to their project, including figures, datasets, preprints, presentations, and other research outputs.

  • Here is a link to the HRA Open administrator guide. Staff at HRA member organizations are the administrators of this system.
  • Here is a template email to invite your awardees to deposit their publications and other research outputs using HRA Open.

We recently hosted a webinar  where we walked attendees through the “nuts and bolts” of what is involved in signing up for this initiative, as well as using the figshare enabled HRA Open portal, and the process for awardees to use the NIH manuscript submission system.  To access the recording of this webinar, click here.
